 Deb took outstanding care of our 10 week old petite goldendoodle puppy for 3 weeks while we were away. We were concerned with leaving such a young pup for so long until we met Deb. We drove 3 hours each way to drop off our Moxie to Deb. It was very difficult to find someone we felt comfortable leaving her with. Deb went above and beyond providing extras such as peanut butter, pure pumpkin and field trips. She also provided frequent updates and photos. She socialized Moxie during her very important early stage of life. She is passionate about animals and it showed. We highly recommend her.   Heather 

This is our second time leaving our 3 Border Collies with Deb for over 2 weeks. Constant updates, pictures, and videos makes being far away so much easier. Great fenced yard for them to run around in. Planning our vacations now involves making sure Deb is available.   David

I recently adopted a senior dog, a little terrier mix who had not been socialized with other dogs. The first time I boarded her I used a kennel, and she came home very sick and disoriented! I have boarded her with Deb twice now, once for more than a week, and she has come home healthy, fresh and alert. Deb follows care and feeding instructions to the letter, and looks out for special needs. She has been sensitive to my older dog's need for more rest and quiet than the younger dogs, and gives a lot of individual attention. She has a nice big yard with plenty of room to run and play. She really seems to enjoy dogs and their individual personalities. I will always board my dog with Deb!   Tiffany

Deb is a terrific dog sitter! We have relied on her twice now to care for our puppy, Miles, (2-5 days per visit) and have not been disappointed.  Us girls had the time of our lives staying with Deb. She loved us to pieces and we got to play with other great pups and received tons of love. We can’t wait to go back, even though we slept for 2 days after coming home. To tell the truth,we were a little depressed leaving even though we adore our parents. One of us pups doesn’t do well leaving home, and was scared but Deb took such great care that I opened up and actually had a blast. My mom was really proud! My mom and dad say that Deb is, by far, the most experienced and responsible woman to care for us. They received daily pictures and updates and even extended their trip for an extra day of course Deb welcomed us with open arms! We look forward to going back for the years to come.

 I was a very nervous mommy leaving my puppy but my puppy had the best time, especially playing with the other dogs. Deb was able to regulate my puppy’s eating and now she eats so much better!  Since relocating to Frederick, my wife and I had the good fortunate of coming across Deb on Rover and could not be happier with her outstanding dog boarding service. We have two dogs; an almost 3 year old Border Collie/Boxer/Lab Mix and 1.5 year old Plott Hound. They are both incredibly sweet/affectionate/playful dogs, but at times can be very high energy and require a good amount of exercise.

Even at our first meet and greet, I could tell Deb was professional, patient, kind and had a profound amount of experience handling dogs. She was incredibly welcoming, mindful and very thorough when it came to getting to know our dog, her schedule and her needs. Additionally, her home is absolutely beautiful and her backyard is perfect for dogs. It only took a matter of minutes for me to realize she was the perfect fit for  our pup. A few months after moving to Frederick, we adopted our Plott Hound at the tender age of 11 weeks and a couple months later we had him boarded for the first time. 

Again, I can't stress how impressed I was with Deb's ability to handle a puppy of his age - she was sweet, welcoming and accommodating to the degree that she even let him snuggle up with her for bed! (still does too!). She sent daily updates and lots of pictures of both of them having a blast. It has now gotten to the point where both of our dogs have a hard time containing their excitement when they realize they will be staying with her!

On top of all of these wonderful qualities, Deb is also deeply passionate about the dogs that she boards and has been a great resource for my wife and I while training our younger pup. She seems to have an endless knowledge of dog handling, dog behavior and tips and tricks for training that has been incredibly helpful to us and our pups.

We have been boarding our dogs with Deb for nearly a year and a half and will continue to do so as long as we live in the Frederick area. 

If you are looking for a professional, patient, kind, welcoming, knowledgeable dog boarder with a great home/lots of outdoor space, look no further!   Emily

 Deb is in high demand for a reason! She is a fairy dogmother! She has a very special talent for bonding with the dogs she watches and it’s obvious they are as important to her as if they were her own! We have a new puppy and a senior dog, so they both have special needs, obviously. And Deb handled them both with love, care and individualized attention. Our senior dog even had an ear infection she got from a bad grooming session, and Deb was so caring, making sure her ears were soothed with the medication the vet provided us. Sophie also has separation anxiety and hates being away from me, but she made herself right at home on Deb’s lap, lol! She was obviously very comfortable and felt safe being with Deb. I don’t trust anyone else to watch out dogs other than Deb’s daughter who we use if Deb isn’t available. I can’t say enough good things about the quality care that Deb provides!   Dawn

 Our dog just had another wonderful stay with Deb. She really understands dogs, is very patient and caring, and knows how to take care of them. Deb is the best! We have used her services 7 times so far, and she takes the time to put all the dogs up when a new dog arrives, and then introduce them one by one. We used Deb to watch our 2 year old Basset Hound for the first time recently and were very happy with his care while we were away. We have boarded our dog three times with Deb. Each stay has been great, including pictures of Taz sent to us and no weight loss for our pet as always happened when she was at a kennel. When we drop Taz off at Deb's home, Taz greets her with a wagging tail and "smile", ready for another staycation! Knowing our pet is content and well cared for makes our travels so much more enjoyable.  Deb was awesome with Heidi. She is great with blending the personalities of her guest dogs you could she is kind of a dog talker. We felt at ease leaving our corgi with her and plan on doing so again as needed.   Susan  

Finding Deb through Rover was a godsend for our family. We have two dogs that are usually stay home when we are away. Our usual house/pet sitter situation changed, and we had to find another option. From the initial communication to the meet/greet to the actual stay, Deb was warm, friendly, and professional. Our dogs acclimated to her care wonderfully and had a great stay with her and the other dogs she was keeping at the time. Deb was booked up when I needed a sitter at the last minute. I'm new to Rover.com and have never left my 10-year-old Bichon with anyone other than friends or family. Deb was the only one that I saw that I knew would be a perfect fit for my girl and who would be able to give her the love and security she needs. Sophie has separation anxiety and also needs to be with a human constantly (I mean really with them! Like she must be touching them in some way even while sleeping). She is an extremely loving and affectionate dog who needs lots of love and affection back. I contacted Deb in desperate hopes that she could accommodate Sophie somehow and she did! She eased my fears and worries over leaving Sophie and I was right...she was the perfect person for my girl! She took excellent care of Sophie, letting her cuddle up in her lap whenever she needed to, and shared her bed with her (which Sophie also needs). She even took care of a last-minute ear infection Sophie developed from rough grooming she had received from a new groomer just prior to staying with Deb. Deb lovingly administered Sophie's ear drops and comforted her while she healed. Sophie also had lots of other doggie friends to play with during her stay, and Deb sent me pictures of their fun and of Sophie falling in love with Deb, just like I knew she would. Deb gave regular updates throughout her stay and kept my heart and mind at ease knowing Sophie was in good hands. I can't say enough good things about her! 

I HIGHLY recommend her and will definitely be using her again for any future trips we take. As Deb said, "Sophie is enjoying her vacation so be sure to enjoy yours as well." We definitely did, all because I knew my pup was in good, loving and capable hands!   Dawn

My pups had a fun stay with Deb! She was super sweet and I never worried about them during the two weeks we were away. She sent photos and updates on a regular basis and made sure they had quality time outside. When we picked them up we could tell they had a genuine affection for Deb and she was gentle and loving with them. We would leave them with Deb again with no worries!   Aimee

If you are browsing Rover for a sitter in the Frederick, MD area look no further, as you have found the best sitter around. I would give her ten stars if that was possible. I know this post is long, however worth a read if you are debating between which to choose.

I happened to be looking for someone in the area (I am not local) to watch my buddy Barley over the Christmas holiday season. I was flying out of DC, but my sister lives in Frederick and we were travelling together. I reached out to Deb expecting to hear that she was booked for the holiday given the number of reviews on her page, but she replied within hours to confirm she was willing to take him on for the week. 

While my dog has stayed with a number of other sitters in the past, I have never seen him so at ease in a place. Her home is spacious, dog friendly, and she has a huge yard for them to romp and play. Although it is optional, she recommended that prior to the stay we set up a meet-n-greet, so we arranged to meet up and let Barley scope out the place. He did a full sniff down of the interior space as well as the yard during that 30 minute window. When we returned for his Christmas stay, he knew his way around and was so excited to be back. It made the world of difference to see that he was comfortable and not stressed when I left. From the photos of his stay you can see he had fun with Deb and his dog friends. Deb was great with the dogs and wonderful at communication with me. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone without hesitation.

Not only is she a saint for taking on 11 dogs for the holiday season, including my big ol’ goofy guy, she does it with ease and the dogs have a blast. Who knew that 11 dogs, a variety of breeds and size (some crated at night and some not – mine is not), could stay in one area so harmoniously and have such fun. I know he had fun because he is usually ready to go when I come to pick him up from sitters, but instead of waiting by the door he gleefully said hello, grabbed a bone, and took a spot on the couch next to his puppy friend Dan as Deb and I were chatting about his stay. Clearly, he was comfortable there and it offers such peace of mind to know that he was well cared for, happy, and loved on. He even gave her kisses as we were heading out which he does not give to just anyone. As a side perk, it was wonderful to come home and have him sleep for days which is rare for his high energy self.

I cannot express how grateful I am for Deb as this was the first and only trip where I did not worry about how Barley was doing. Usually it is hard to truly enjoy your time away as a little part of you feels guilty for leaving your furry friend behind and you worry about if they are happy and well cared for. Deb makes sure you and your pup are comfortable with everything and she is thorough with her planning as well as keeping you up to date. I would highly recommend her to anyone and I know my dog would vouch for her if he could. Thanks again for everything Deb, you are the best!   Rachael

Deb is an amazing and sweet woman not only to the dogs but the humans too. This was my first time leaving Bentley the Boston and he can be a handful. Deb gives a whole new meaning to the statement "a tired dog is a happy dog". Sometimes I wondered if he was having so much fun he wouldn't want to come home lol. First, Deb is just a wonderful person, so it is no surprise that she is an excellent dog sitter! She has that rare quality that dogs sense, and not only did I trust her immediately, so did my chihuahua, Kiwi. Kiwi hadn't ever been away from home in her entire life, and hadn't always socialized well with other dogs, so I was quite concerned on how she would do for an entire week. Deb was so kind, listened to all the details of how Kiwi's has been managed, and was able to provide an excellent loving shelter - that turned out to be a fun, healthy - even, teaching home. Kiwi seemed to "find herself" in a way, learning about and interacting with other dogs, and I think has helped her from a social standpoint as we 

returned back to our normal routine. Deb kept me up to date with pictures while I was away, and little stories on how she was doing and I could really concentrate on my work, without any concerns about my dog back home. I recommend Deb at 5 Stars and with the highest regards and thanks.   Darrin
